through walls and windows. Approximately 40% of heat from the
average home is lost through walls and windows.
- By taking a
shower (ideally for no longer than three minutes) you will use up to
30-50 litres of water less than if you were to have a bath.

you're not using your electrical appliances, don't leave it on stand
by as it uses up to 85% of the energy they would use when turned on.
- Turn down
your washing machine to 30 degrees and still get a brilliantly clean
washing at a low temperature and save 40% of the energy used.
- Turn your
thermostat down just one degree and you will save huge amounts of
energy each year. The average home is permanently on at 21 degrees.
